  • Students will graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Forensic Science and the second program chosen. Popular second majors for Forensic Science students include Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology, though choices are not limited to these majors. A full list of available majors is available at http://trentu.ca/futurestudents. The number of credits required for the second major will vary, and as a result, students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor to discuss options that will not extend studies beyond 13.0 credits at Trent. The same course may not simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both programs in a joint-major degree, with the exception of the following:
    • Students pursuing a joint-major Honours degree in Forensic Science and Biology are required to take the following courses which simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both programs: BIOL 1020H, BIOL 1030H, MATH 1051H, and MATH 1052H.
    • Students pursuing a joint-major Honours degree in Forensic Science and Chemistry are required to take the following courses which simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both programs: CHEM 1000H, CHEM 1010H, and two of MATH 1005H, 1051H, 1051H, 1110H, 1120H, 1350H, or 1550H.

Degree requirements are subject to change. Refer to the most recent version of the Academic Calendar for course descriptions and degree requirements, which apply to all undergraduate programs (http://trentu.ca/calendar). Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor prior to registering for courses for assistance with degree planning (http://trentu.ca/advising).
