Students who began studies in the Business Administration - Accounting Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2018 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information regarding transfer credits received as part of this articulation agreement.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College's Business Administration - Accounting Advanced Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Program Residency Requirement

Students must complete the following 10.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Business Administration degree with a Specialization in Accounting:

• 0.5 ADMN 2010H - Management Skills
• 0.5 ADMN 2510H - Organizational Theory
• 0.5 ADMN 3300H - Personal Ethics in Organizations and Business
• 0.5 ADMN 4030H - Strategic Management*
• 0.5 ADMN 4101H - Thinking About Management
• 0.5 ECON 1250H - Introduction to Mathematics for Economics and Management
• 0.5 credit from the following:*
  • 0.5 ADMN 1620H - Introduction to Information Systems
  • 0.5 ADMN 3700H - Investments
  • 0.5 ADMN 4302H - Advanced Management Accounting
  • 0.5 ADMN 4303H - Advanced Financial Accounting
  • 0.5 ADMN 4710H - Taxation-Corporate
• 6.5 elective credits, including:
  • At least 1.0 credit at the 3000 and/or 4000 level (0.5 for students not completing ADMN 1620H);
  • No more than 4.0 credits at the 1000 level (3.5 for students completing ADMN 1620H);
  • At least 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.

*Additional notes: Students interested in pursuing the Specialization in Accounting must achieve a minimum 70% grade in the Business Administration choice credits above (marked with an asterisk*). Additional requirements may be made for students pursuing a CPA designation. Students are referred to the CPA website for minimum grade and other requirements, including minimum grades required in Fleming College courses that receive CPA PEP prerequisite equivalents at Trent (ACCT 4, ACCT 5, ACCT 22, ACCT 23, ACCT 68, ACCT 72, ACCT 76, ACCT 77, ACCT 80, ACCT 81, BUSN 13, BUSN 18, LAWS 4, and MATH 46).

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
