Program Transfer Search

Students who completed the Practical Nursing Diploma program within the past five years will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits:

• 0.5 NURS 1002H - Introduction to Foundational Practice Concepts
• 0.5 NURS 1010H - Relational Inquiry
• 0.5 NURS 1020H - Clinical Practice in a Residential Setting
• 0.5 NURS 2000H - Health Promotion and Population Health
• 0.5 NURS 3021H - Clinical Practice Focused on Chronic Disease Management
• 0.5 BIOL 1500H - Human Anatomy and Physiology 1
• 0.5 BIOL 1501H - Human Anatomy and Physiology 2
• 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
• 0.5 unassigned Nursing credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:

• successfully completed Algonquin College's Practical Nursing Diploma program within the past five years;
• a minimum overall average of 75%;
• registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. This requirement will be waived for students who enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) within six months of graduating from the Practical Nursing Diploma program. 

*NOTE: Admission to the Nursing degree program is competitive, and as a result, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
