Students must complete the following 13.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Child and Youth Studies degree:

  • 0.5 CHYS 1000H – Introduction to Child and Youth Studies
  • 0.5 CHYS 1001H – Child and Youth: Identity Theory and Voice
  • 0.5 CHYS 2005H – Child and Adolescent Development
  • 0.5 CHYS 2006H – Indigenous Knowledge for Children and Youth
  • 0.5 SOCI 1001H – Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
  • 0.5 PSYC 1020H – Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour; or PSYC 1030H – Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
  • 0.5 CHYS 2010H – Introduction to Research Methods
  • 1.5 Child and Youth Studies credits at the 3000 level
  • 0.5 Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level

Cancellation Policy

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
