Transfer pathways search

Students entering the Forestry Techniques Certificate program in Fall 2026 or later will receive the following 3.5 transfer credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements: 

• 0.5 ERSC-GEOG-SAFS 3560H – Soil Science 
• 1.0 unassigned Environmental and Resource Science credit at the 2000 level 
• 0.5 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level
• 1.5 unassigned Science credits at the 1000 level

Students who entered the Forestry Techniques Certificate program prior to Fall 2026 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information regarding transfer credits received through this pathway.

To qualify for the pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Fleming College's Forestry Techniques Certificate;
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 75%.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements. 

Transfer credits awarded through this pathway may not apply in full to all degree programs. Students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor regarding the applicability of transfer credits to their chosen program and for assistance with degree planning.

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which equivalent introductory courses are not included in the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete these courses in the term prior to beginning full-time studies at Trent University. Completing required introductory courses in advance may increase access to upper-year course options during a student's first year of study at Trent University. Students are strongly encouraged to consult an academic advisor for assistance with degree planning and course selection (https://trentu.ca/advising).
