Students entering the Biotechnology Advanced Diploma program in Fall 2023 or later will receive the following 8.0 transfer credits:

• 0.5 INDG 1001H - The Foundation for Reconciliation
• 0.5 PHYS 1000H - Foundations of Physics
• 0.5 unassigned Forensic Science credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Science credit at the 1000 level
• 1.0 unassigned Science credit at the 2000 level

Students who entered the Biotechnology Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2023 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information about transfer credits received through this pathway.

To qualify for this pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Fleming College's Biotechnology - Advanced Diploma program;
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 75%.

*Note: Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (Honours) program is competitive. As a result, the minimum 75% average required for the pathway does not guarantee admission and a higher average may be required.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

*Additional notes: Courses without specified year levels must include at least 0.5 credit at the 3000 or 4000 level, and no more than 0.5 credits at the 1000 level. Choice credits must also include 2.0 science credits.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
