The Early Childhood Education fast-track is designed for graduates with a diploma or degree in a related field.  Graduates of the Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma are eligible to apply for this pathway.  All qualified applicants will be required to attend an information session, complete a questionnaire, and attend an interview.  Successful applicants will be required to attend orientation courses for two weeks in June and a final placement in May of the following year.  Official transcripts are required to provide proof of graduation.  This program has a September start date only.  Apply to C130 at Ontario Colleges no later than June 1 to be considered for the program.

Durham College agrees to facilitate the block transfer of students who have completed one full year in the Early Childhood Education diploma program at another Ontario College into the second year of the same program at Durham College.

Students must have successfully completed all courses within the first year of the Early Childhood Education diploma program of study (the first 2 academic terms) from the sending college and meet any other admission requirements for the program at Durham College (if applicable).
