Program Transfer Search

To receive an offer of admission to a degree program, as well as up to 5.0 full course equivalents of transfer credit, you must complete your two-year diploma with an overall average of 70%. Meeting the minimum admission average does not guarantee admission to competitive programs, such as the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

In addition, you must complete the program-specific prerequisite requirements. The communications courses that you complete as part of your diploma program tend to satisfy the Ontario high school Grade 12 university-level English (ENG4U) requirement.

The amount of transfer credit to you receive depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to: previous grades, course content, and the program applied to at Lakehead University.

Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care with a minimum average of 60 per cent to be eligible to receive a block of transfer credits. 

Ontario College Diploma in Developmental Services Worker with a minimum average of 60 per cent to be eligible to receive a block of transfer credits.

Ontario College Diploma in Social Service Worker with a minimum average of 60 per cent to be eligible to receive block of transfer credits.

To qualify for transfer from the first year of an Ontario College Business Diploma to the second year of an Ontario College Business Diploma offered by another college, the student must:

Applicants who have completed a two-year (four semester) Ontario College Diploma with sufficient amount of academic content and have achieved a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0 (B or 70%) and any specified prerequisites may be considered for admission to York University and will be eligible for transfer credit assessment.
