Program Residency Requirement

Students must complete the following 10.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Computer Science Degree:

  • COIS 2300H - Computer Organization
  • COIS 3020H - Data Structures and Algorithms II
  • COIS 3380H - Systems Programming in C
  • MATH 1350H - Linear Algebra I: Matrix Algebra
  • MATH 1550H - Probability I: Introduction to Probability
  • MATH 2600H - Discrete Structures
  • 0.5 MATH credit from the following:
    • MATH 1005H - Applied Calculus
    • MATH 1110H - Calculus I: Limits, Derivatives, and Integrals
  • 1.5 Computer Science credits at the 4000 level
  • 1.0 additional Computer Science credit at the 3000 level or beyond
  • 1.5 Computer Science credit in addition to the above
  • 2.5 elective credits, including:
    • At least 0.5 credit at the 3000 or 4000 level;
    • No more than 2.5 credits at the 1000 level;
    • At least 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List

*Additional notes: Students in the degree completion program will be allowed to enrol concurrently in COIS 2020H, COIS 2300H, and any course for which COIS 2020H and/or COIS 2300H is a prerequisite (e.g. COIS 3030H, COIS 3040H, COIS 3320H).

Cancellation Policy

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
