    With our articulation agreements, you will benefit from a generous credit transfer with a minimal average of 3,2 or 80%:

    Joint admission with Northern College:

    Students who identify as Francophone or have studied in French (including French immersion) at the secondary level, entering Northern College in one of the listed programs in our articulation agreements, will receive a joint admission and a conditional letter of acceptance from Université de Hearst.   • Students must complete at least 30 credits at Université de Hearst, usually the last 30 credits of their program.

  • Université de Hearst will consider all courses for transfer credit, regardless of currency.

  • When applying for admission to our B.A.A. - Administration des affaires et gestion, our B.A - gestion, or for a second degree, you may take a voluntary exam for ADMN 1106. If you pass the exam with a grade of 70% or higher, you will earn the credits.

  • The voluntary exam costs $ 100.

  • Transfer credits will be recorded on your Université de Hearst transcript in a distinct section and will not be included in your cumulative GPA calculation.

  • Follow these steps in order to receive your transfer credit assessment at Université de Hearst:

    • Apply online to Université de Hearst through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) at www.ouac.on.ca.
    • Please note that in this electronic application process you will find the list of programs of Université de Hearst under Laurentian University, to which it is affiliated.
    • University of Hearst will contact you directly to acknowledge receipt of your application file and send you a conditional offer, if you are eligible. From this point forward, you will be able to accept our online offer on OUAC.
    • Please note that the analysis and determination of equivalencies is done at the same time as the application.
    • Please contact your previous institution to arrange for your official transcript(s) from high school, college or university to be forwarded to our Office of Admissions.

  • There is no fee required for a transfer credit assessment at Université de Hearst.

  • The documentation required for postsecondary education assessment for credit transfer at Université de Hearst includes: 

    • Official transcript(s)
    • Course outline(s) (must be provided upon request)
  • An application form for transfer credit is not required at Université de Hearst. Applicants who have previously attended a post-secondary institution will automatically be assessed for credit recognition.

  • One of the perks of the block plan; it’s possible to register at any time and any given block.

  • Conditional credit recognition decisions are typically provided with your admission offer at University of Hearst. In some cases, a list of transferred credits will be provided shortly after the admission offer.

    Credit equivalency is conditional on the successful completion of the courses and the minimum average required.

  • A transfer credit decision cannot be reviewed or appealed at Université de Hearst. All credit transfer assessments are final.
