- 0.5 CHYS 3880H – Career Development and Community Service Learning
- 1.0 CHYS 4882Y – Placement-Field Based Learning; or 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 0.5 INDG 1001H – The Foundation for Reconciliation
- 0.5 PSYC 1020H – Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
- 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
- 0.5 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 2000 level
- 0.5 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 3000 level
- 2.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
- 0.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 2000 level
Students who entered the Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2024 are encouraged to contact Trent University about transfer credits received through pathway.
*Additional notes: Students wishing to pursue placement at Trent University may request to have the transfer credit for CHYS 4882Y replaced with 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level. Students must e-mail admissions@trentu.ca to request this adjustment.
Exigences
To qualify for this agreement, students must:
- Successfully complete Sault College's Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma;
- A minimum overall average of 75%.
Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Students must complete the following 12.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Child and Youth Studies:
- 0.5 CHYS 1001H – Child and Youth: Identity Theory and Voice
- 0.5 CHYS 1002H – The Significance of Play in the Lives of Children and Youth
- 0.5 CHYS 2001H - Child and Youth Rights and Legal Issues
- 0.5 CHYS 2005H – Child and Adolescent Development
- 0.5 CHYS 2006H – Indigenous Knowledge for Children and Youth
- 0.5 CHYS 2010H – Introduction to Research Methods
- 0.5 SOCI 1001H – Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
- 1.0 additional Child and Youth Studies credit at the 3000 level
- 0.5 Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 7.0 elective credits
*Additional notes: Courses without specified year levels must include at least 3.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s), and no more than 1.0 credits at the 1000 level.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
