Students entering the Community and Justice Services Diploma program in Fall 2019 or later will receive the following 6.0 transfer credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 PLCW 3002H - Mental Health and Addictions in the Community
• 0.5 PLCW 3005H - Community Consultation and Advocacy
• 0.5 CRIM 1615H - Introduction to Criminology
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 0.5 unassigned Policing and Community Well-being credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Sociology credit at the 2000 level
• 2.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
• 1.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 2000 level

Transfer credits for students who entered the Community and Justice Services Diploma program prior to Fall 2019 will be awarded on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Centennial College's Community and Justice Services Diploma program;
• a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

• 0.5 PLCW 1003H - Social Determinants of Health and Crime
• 0.5 PLCW 2002H - Community Problem-Solving and Analysis
• 0.5 PLCW 2005H - Diversity and Exclusion
• 0.5 PLCW 2010H - Conflict Resolution
• 0.5 PLCW 2100H - Research methods in Policing and Community Well-being
• 0.5 PLCW 3003H - Violence in the Community
• 0.5 PLCW 3004H - Applications of Multidisciplinary Research
• 0.5 PLCW 3007H - Problem-solving in a Complex and Diverse Community
• 0.5 FRSC 1100H - Introduction to Canadian Justice
• 0.5 SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
• 0.5 SOCI 1002H - Introduction to Sociology II: Exploring Social Life
• 1.5 Policing and Community Well-being credits at the 4000 level
• 6.5 additional credits, including:
  • At least 3.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s);
  • No more than 2.0 credits at the 1000 level;
  • At least 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.

*Additional notes: Fulfilling the requirements above lead to a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Policing and Community Well-being. Requirements will differ for students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Policing and Community Well-being.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
