To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College's Ecosystem Management Technology Advanced Diploma Program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students are required to complete the following 10.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Environmental and Resource Science degree: 

  • 0.5 ERSC 2220H - Environmental Assessment: Chemical and Laboratory Methods
  • 0.5 ERSC 2230H -  Environmental Assessment: Sampling and Analysis
  • 0.5 ERST 3000H - Environmental professional practice
  • 0.5 MATH 1051H - Non-Calculus Statistics 1: Elementary Probability and Statistics
  • 0.5 credit from the following:
    • 0.5 ERSC 1040H - Earth's Physical Processes and Environments;
    • 0.5 ERSC 1050H - Introduction to Climate Change Science and Policy;
    • 0.5 ERST 1030H - Human Geographies in Global Context;
    • 0.5 SAFS 1001H - Introduction to Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems
  • 0.5 credit from the Trent School of Environment Capstone Course List
  • 3.5 additional Environmental and Resource Science credits at the 3000 level or beyond 
  • 3.5 additional credits, including at least 0.5 Math credit

  • Choice credits must include at least 2.0 science credits to fulfill requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Honours).
  • Trent University also offers a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Environmental and Resource Studies. Requirements for the Environmental and Resource Studies degree differ from those listed above. The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
