Terms for renewal or cancellation

The agreement will be reviewed annually. This agreement may be terminated by either party with one year of notice. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.

Eligibility for Pathway

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Centennial College’s General Arts program;
- a minimum overall average of 70%;
- no less than 65% in any of the courses required for the General Arts program.

Students must meet all specific admission and enrollment standards, and requirements for the program and will be accepted subject to capacity if applicable.

Credit transfer

Students who commenced studies in the General Arts Certificate program since Fall 2018 will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits:

  • 0.5 CCTH 1000H - Happiness: An Introduction to Interdisciplinary Studies
  • 0.5 PHIL 1200H - Critical Thinking
  • 0.5 POST 1002H - Politics and Power in the Global Age: Issues
  • 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part I: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
  • 0.5 SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
  • 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
  • 0.5 unassigned History credit at the 1000 level
  • 1.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

  • CCTH 1080H - Math for Everyday Life (Sc)
  • CCTH 2000H - Introduction to Research Methods
  • CCTH 2003H - Becoming Digital: Reading, Writing, and Creating
  • CCTH 3000Y - Interdisciplinary Studies Capstone
  • COIS 3850H - Fundamentals of Project Management
  • WRIT 2002H - Write It Up: Effective Communication
  • 6.5 elective credits, including at least 4.0 credits at the 3000 level or above and at least 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List
