Pathway Details

Terms for renewal or cancellation

The agreement shall be continuous from year to year; however either party may terminate the agreement at any time.  Students enrolled at Laurier's Waterloo Campus at the time of any change shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the original terms of this transfer pathway.

Eligibility for Pathway

Graduates of an eligible 4 semester (2 year) Ontario College Diploma in General Arts and Science with a minimum 75% cumulative average are eligible to apply to any Honours Bachelor of Arts program at Laurier's Waterloo Campus.  They will have an opportunity to take a variety of courses within the Faculty of Arts and declare their major at the end of their first year of study.  In addition to the minimum admissions average, applicants may be required to have program specific prerequisites.  For a full list of prerequisites please visit http://www.wlu.ca/transfer.

Credit transfer

Students who graduate from an Ontario College with an eligible 2-year Diploma in General Arts and Science with an overall average of 75% or higher are eligible for full-time admissions at Wilfrid Laurier University's Waterloo Campus.  They will receive a maximum of 6.0 transfer credits amounting to just over 2 semesters (1 academic year) of full-time study.

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

Students must complete the remaining 14.0 credits of the Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree as outlined in the Wilfrid Laurier University Undergraduate Academic Calendar.

Anticipated normal schedule of student progression

Students taking a typical full time course load (5.0 credits per academic year) can complete the 4 year degree program in 3 years.

Credential(s) to be granted on successful completion of all required components

Honours Bachelor of Arts (major dependent on program choice).
