Pathway Details

Terms for renewal or cancellation

The agreement will be effective for a five year period, until 2021. At the end of this period, there will be a joint review of the MOU. 

Eligibility for Pathway

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Seneca College's Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Advanced Diploma program
- a minimum overall average of 75%

Credit transfer

This admission pathway provides the opportunity for graduates of Seneca's Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Small Business Advanced Diploma to be granted admission into the Post-Graduate Certificate in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Trent University.

Students admitted to the program from Seneca College will not be granted transfer credits for advanced standing. Students will be required to complete all 5.0 credits that are necessary to successfully complete the requirements of the certificate. 

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

The Post-Graduate certificate program consists of the following 5.0 credits:

- 1.5 ADMN credits consisting of:

  • ADMN 2080H - Managerial and Market Research
  • ADMN 2100H - Introduction to Marketing
  • ADMN 3420H - Entrepreneurship

- 3.5 ADMN credits from:

  • ADMN 2010H - Management Skills
  • ADMN 3021H - Fundamentals of Managerial Accounting
  • ADMN 3150H - Advertising
  • ADMN 3160H - Branding
  • ADMN 3170H - Introduction to Retail Marketing
  • ADMN 3430H - New Venture Planning and Design
  • ADMN 3441H - Social Enterprise and Social Innovation
  • ADMN 3750H - Principles of Online Marketing
  • OR ADMN 3870H - Internship: Field-Based Learning I

Anticipated normal schedule of student progression

One year.

Credential(s) to be granted on successful completion of all required components

Post-Graduate Certificate in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
