Pathway Details

Terms for renewal or cancellation

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.

Eligibility for Pathway

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:

- successfully completed Centennial College's Software Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Credit transfer

Students will be granted 10.0 credits, including:

  • 0.5 ​COIS 1010H - The Digital World
  • 0.5 COIS 1020H - Programming for Computing Systems
  • 0.5 COIS 2240H - Software Design and Modelling
  • 0.5 COIS 3400H - Database Management
  • 0.5 COIS 3420H - Web Application Development
  • 1.0 unassigned Computer Science credit at the 2000 level
  • 1.0 unassigned Computer Science credit at the 3000 level
  • 0.5 unassigned Computer Science credit at the 4000 level
  • 2.0 unassigned Science credits at the 1000 level
  • 2.5 unassigned Science credits at the 2000 level
  • 0.5 unassigned Science credits at the 3000 level

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

  • COIS 2020H - Data Structures and Algorithm
  • COIS 2300H - Computer Organization
  • COIS 3020H - Data Structures and Algorithms II
  • COIS 3380H - Systems Programming in C
  • 1.5 Computer Science credit at the 4000 level
  • 1.0 additional Computer Science credit at the 3000 level or beyond
  • 1.0 Computer Science credit in addition to the above
  • MATH 1350H - Linear Algebra I: Matrix Algebra
  • MATH 1550H - Probability I: Introduction to Probability
  • MATH 2600H - Discrete Structures
  • 0.5 MATH credit from the following:
    • MATH 1005H - Applied Calculus
    • MATH 1110H - Calculus I: Limits, Derivatives, and Integrals
  • 2.5 additional credits (minimum 0.5 from the Approved Indigenous Course List; minimum 0.5 at the 3000 level if not completed through Computer Science electives without specified year levels)

Note: Students in the degree completion program will be allowed to enrol concurrently in COIS 2020H, COIS 2300H, and any course for which COIS 2020H and/or COIS 2300H is a prerequisite (e.g. COIS 3030H, COIS 3040H, COIS 3320H).
