Terms for renewal or cancellation

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.

Eligibility for Pathway

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Durham College's General Arts and Science University Transfer program;
- a minimum overall average of 70%;
- no less than 65% in each of the required courses.

 

Credit transfer

Students commencing studies in the General Arts and Science program prior to September 2020 will be granted the following 5.0 transfer credits:

  • 0.5 PHIL 1000H - Introduction to Philosophy: Knowledge and Reality
  • 0.5 PHIL 1100H - Introduction to Philosophy: Moral and Political
  • 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
  • 0.5 PSYC 1030H - Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
  • 0.5 SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
  • 0.5 SOCI 1002H - Introduction to Sociology II: Exploring Social Life
  • 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
  • 1.0 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level
  • 0.5 unassigned Science credit at the 1000 level

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

Upon successful admission to Trent University students are required to take an additional 15.0 credits to meet Honours degree requirements. Required courses to be completed at Trent will vary based on the major declared by the student. Any students planning to pursue a major in which introductory transfer credits are not provided are strongly encouraged to complete a summer term prior to entering Trent University in September to allow for a seamless transition into second year at Trent.
