Terms for renewal or cancellation
The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
Eligibility for Pathway
To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College's Ecosystem Management Technology Advanced Diploma Program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.
Credit transfer
Students commencing studies in the Ecosystem Management Technology Advanced Diploma program since Fall 2017 will be granted the following 10.0 credits:
- 0.5 ERSC 1010H - Environmental Science and Sustainability
- 0.5 ERSC 1020H - Cases in Environment and Sustainability
- 0.5 ERSC-GEOG-BIOL 2080H - Natural Science Statistics
- 0.5 ERSC-GEOG 2090H - Introduction to Geographical Information Systems
- 0.5 ERSC 2240H - Ecological Assessment for Natural Resource Management
- 0.5 ERSC-BIOL 2260H - Introductory Ecology
- 0.5 ERST-CAST 2520H - Natural Resource Management: Theory and Comparative Cases
- 0.5 ERST-CAST 2525H - Critical Environmental Thinking: Political Economy and Policy Process
- 0.5 ERSC 4520H - Restoration Ecology
- 0.5 BIOL 1020H - Foundations of Biodiversity

Students commencing studies in the Ecosystem Management Technology Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2017 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information regarding transfer credits received as part of this articulation agreement.

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution
Students must complete the following:
- 0.5 ERSC 2220H - Environmental Assessment: Chemical and Laboratory Methods
- 0.5 ERSC 2230H - Environmental Assessment: Sampling and Analysis
- 0.5 ERST 3000H - Environmental professional practice
- 2.0 Environmental and Resource Science credits from Category A
- 1.0 Environmental and Resource Science/Studies credit from Category B
- 0.5 Environmental and Resource Science/Studies credit from Category D
- 1.0 Math credit
- 4.0 elective credits
*NOTE: ERS and other elective credits must include at least 3.0 science credits, at least 4.5 credits at the 3000 level or above, and no more than 3.5 credits at the 1000 level. Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Environmental and Resource Studies are referred to the Academic Calendar for degree requirements.
