Terms for renewal or cancellation
This transfer pathway shall be continuous from year to year. Students enrolled in the receiving institution at the time of the notice of termination will be given the opportunity to complete their studies based on the terms of the transfer pathway.
Eligibility for Pathway
Graduates of the Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent who maintain a minimum average of 70% (B-, 2.7/4.0) and who complete the 3 bridging courses (Foundations of Social Development, Working with Adults, Legislation and Ethics in Family Service) with a minimum grade of 63% will be admitted to the 3rd year of the 4 year degree program. Students can expect to complete their degree in an additional 2 years of full-time study after graduating from the Early Childhood Education Diploma program.
Credit transfer
Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria and bridge course requirements may be admitted into the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Early Learning and Community Development (Honours) program, subject to space availability.
Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution
3 bridging courses and all courses in Year 3 and Year 4 of the Bachelor of Early Learning and Community Development (Honours)
Anticipated normal schedule of student progression
Upon completion of the 3 bridging courses students will be required to complete two (2) additional years of full-time study in order to receive their honours degree in Early Learning and Community Development.
